4 to 6 Pancakes

Why It's Kidney Friendly

Pears are low in potassium, and whole wheat flour adds fiber, making these pancakes a delicious, kidney-friendly breakfast option.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of whole wheat flour

  • 1 ripe pear, grated

  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, almond milk, egg, and maple syrup until smooth.

  2. Fold in grated pear.

  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour batter to form pancakes.

  4. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.

  5. Serve warm.
