BREAKFAST
Festive Spiced Pear Pancakes
4 to 6 Pancakes
Why It's Kidney Friendly
Pears are low in potassium, and whole wheat flour adds fiber, making these pancakes a delicious, kidney-friendly breakfast option.
Ingredients
1 cup of whole wheat flour
1 ripe pear, grated
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
Directions
In a bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, almond milk, egg, and maple syrup until smooth.
Fold in grated pear.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour batter to form pancakes.
Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.
Serve warm.
